Good birthday

Sunday was my birthday. We went over to Joy's, and had a good time. Teased GC, gourmetted, and played Monopoly. Well, they did, I was bank, but neglected that to read my new book.

  • Ziezo, all 347 children's poems, by Annie M.G. Schmidt.

  • Stardust, by Neil Gaiman.

  • A hat full of sky, by Terry Pratchett.

  • Science of Discworld 3: Darwin's watch, by Jack Cohen, Terry Pratchett and Ian Stewart.

  • A Samsung mobile phone.


    • A good haul, and I had a good time Sunday.

    That effing cat!

    So I watched Alien the other day. I quite liked it, all in all.

    Just, what was that cat doing on board? It was a mining/cargo ship. Who let Ripley take that effing animal on board? If she wanted to take a pet, she should have gone for a dog: at least those come when called.

    And I like cats, I really do. Just that I think that in this case it wasn't the best of ideas.
