Dr Who thoughts
Oct. 11th, 2014 05:03 pmI still haven't watched the Dr Who I taped last week (I was out Saturday-evening). On the whole, I am not that enamoured with the stories. They're missing something, but I can't put my finger on what, exactly, and that bugs me.

Goodbye yellow brick road
Jan. 23rd, 2013 03:05 pmHere we part ways,White Collar. It's been fun while it lasted, and I'll miss El, Diana, Mozzie, and Peter and Neal (in that order). But I found myself starting not to care halfway through the current season. Sure, the first few eps were good, with Peter going after Neal like that. But after that, it became almost boring. I don't care anymore.
So, goodbye. It's been a fun couple of seasons. And I'll really, really miss El. She was the best part of the show and I have such a major crush on her.

*put put puttering*
Oct. 27th, 2011 02:24 pmOh look, it's almost November. What's a girl to do? Well, NaNo, of course. I finally had a plot-idea, and that's good. I didn't participate last year. Hell, I barely wrote the past twelve months. We'll have to see how things go.
After all, there's no new White Collar until next year anyway. Also, Lost Girl won't be back until next week. And no Dr Who until Christmas. Or Sherlock until the new year. All of these shows own time-shares in my heart, apart from DW, which has a permanent apartment.

This is the wrong way around, isn't it?
Aug. 28th, 2010 10:19 pmNormally, you get into a show, then into fanfic. Which would be how I normally do it.
Not, as in this case, watch a bit of the show, go 'Yeah, let's not.' Really, I wasn't that interested. And then you readslashfanfic, which makes you go, 'Yeah, maybe I should watch this show'.
To finally get distracted by cheekbones. Seriously. There's Spike, and Sherlock, and now Merlin. Where did I get this obsession with cheekbones from?

Sherlock Holmes, The Great Game
Aug. 9th, 2010 02:40 pmIf there's not going to be a second season of Sherlock, I will hunt down those responsible and kill* them.
*Well, maybe just maim them**.
**All right, I'll just hurt them.***
***Fine, I'll give them a stern talking to.1
1I'll write a letter to the Times.2
2I'll sulk in my journal.

Sherlock Holmes, The Blind Banker

I wonder what the gospel according to Sherlock would be like. "Blessed are the observant, for they shall never be surprised.Unless it's about relationships, because who needs them?"

Sherlock Holmes, Study in Pink
Jul. 26th, 2010 03:13 pmI watched the first episode of Moffat's and Gatiss's Sherlock yesterday.
The adaptation to the 21st century worked better than expected. I will be watching next week.
( My impressions, let me show you them )
