Nice episode of Who. Very nice. Now excuse while I go pull myself together.

*

There, all done. We start with Ten and Rose laughing it up, and poor Mickey sitting there going 'Huh? Mind telling me?', and feeling like the fifth wheel. Poor guy. Why did Ten allow him on board if he's only going to ignore him? This comes back in the episode, as Ten decides to go after Rose, and Mickey's going 'You care more for her than for me.' Which is true, but it's not like Ten knows Mickey that well. Or has taken any steps towards that.

The TARDIS dies. Nooooooooooo! They get stranded on a parallel Earth, where Peter Tyler is alive, a succesful businessman, and has no daughter. P-Rose is the cutest little dog ever, if you're into canines. ;) Ten goes warning Rose not to contact Peter here, but does she listen? Like she's learned after Father's Day.

P-Mickey's called Ricky. *snickers, has Nine-flashbacks.* And he's the leader of the resistance against Lumik, the big honcho and designer of the Cybermen. Cynical and hardass bastard, Ricky is.

Ten learns something about Mickey's life.

'I didn't know.'
Rose: 'You didn't ask.'

The Cybermen are awesome, and way more scary than the Daleks. *is taking bets on when the Cybermen'll turn on Lumik.* They never read Asimov in these kind of shows.

Tennant in tux and glasses. All I need now is for him to speak with his Scottish accent, and I'd die of bliss. I'm so gorram easy.

Cybermen are gorram awesome, and I want to see the next part.

Actually, I didn't like these Cybermen much. Yes, they were scary, but... they turned them into bipedal Daleks who chant 'Del-ete' instead of 'Ex-ter-min-ate'. We were promised Cybermen. We didn't get them. I say tsk.

Don't take this to mean I won't watch Part 2, though. :P

The comparison with Daleks did cross my mind, too. Then again, I can't compare them with earlier Cybermen, since I never saw those.

Still, I liked the episode.

Original Cybers: A lot more graceful, and with far less robotic voices.

Oh, it was a good episode. I loved the zeppelins.
