Mized opinion. It kept the pace up nicely, that it did.

It reminded me too much of The Impossible Planter/The Satan's Pit from last season. Not only in location, also the whole setup. Ship in trouble, crashing into sun/planet. Ah well.

I liked that he trusts Martha enough to give her a key. That's when you know you've made it as a Companion. And he said "Thank you". Also a very good sign.

The Doctor got into serious trouble! Usually he's there to get the others out of it ("I will save you!") But now, with his getting infected by the sun and all. Very nicely done.

Mel says, and I agree, that the episodes seem a bit choppy, and that it leaves not much time to develop the story. Gridlock for one could have done with being spread over an arc.

But don't mind me, I'm just waiting for Captain Jack. ;)

And Mrs Jones is getting involved with Harold saxon, whoever that may be. Not up to much good, I can tell you that. But who is he exactly?

Yeah, I didn't watch the Satan Pit or its sequel. It bothered me.

I have to agree, this episode was kind of fast. I did like how forty-two minutes is about the length of the episode, though, like real time.

I also really liked how it showed that even the Doctor has his limits- no matter how much greater they might be. Makes him even sexier, in my book. I like Ten so very much more than I'd loved Nine, because on top of being the Doctor, he's also hot.

I also think it is funny how he has changed to accomodate his audience. Younger people, more interested in the hidden grandeur and sex appeal than ever before. Not that I mind too much.

I personally loved Gridlock. It was amazing and filling, even though it was over too soon for me. I was on the edge of my seat, laughing, crying in that one. 42 wasn't that way, unfortunately, because I kept looking at my time to see how much was left.
