I was warned for the Daenerys chapters before I started reading it, so I was kind of prepared for it. As I haven't read the other books yet (but they're already in my bookcase, waiting to be read!) and haven't seen the series, I'm curious how the characters will develop - will the villains become more evil (I agree with your opinion on the bad guys)? I heard that it's really easy to hate some of the villains in the tv series, but I don't remember really hating a character in this book.
