What in the name of sanity?!
Nov. 24th, 2006 05:21 pmI am nicely puttering along at 39,601 words, and I decide to upload my novel to NaNo, for an official wordcount.
38,838.
Bwuh, says I, and paste the whole document into Word, and check again.

A difference of 800 words between Google-documents, which is what the original is in, and Word. What causes this, I do not know. All I know, is disbelief.
How on Ehlonna's green earth can they have a difference of 800 words?! What is wrong with them?
I hate Word. That is why I am not using it. It seems now that I have to, if I want an accurate count. Or subsequently subtract 800 words from what Google tells me the wordcount is. Ah well, I needed to write more anyway.
See if I am using Google next year for NaNo. *kicks it.*
