Apr. 1st, 2006 11:48 pmI'm currently re-reading Harry Potter, and I caught myself thinking during Book 2. It's when Uncle Vernon locks Harry in his room after the pudding-incident, saying that Harry'll never go back to Hogwarts. Did he forget Hagrid coming to pick up Harry a year ago? It's unlikely that if Harry fails to show up for his second year, the staff'll just go 'That Potter-boy didn't come. Ah well,' and return to their business. (Well, Snape would.) We are talking about the Boy Who Lived here. I could be overthinking this, though, and it doesn't mar the joy of reading the book. Coming up to meeting Lockhart soon *grins*. One of the characters I love to hate, the vain, supercilious bag of wind.
