How can she defeat a demon? (Modern world)

My FMC is an ordinary young woman. No special powers, nothing. She eventually runs into a demon. A couple of hundred years ago one of her ancestors made a pact with said demon, and now he's come to claim his ultimate price. The FMC.

My question is: how can she defeat him/get him off her back, permanently? She's no saint or anything like that.

It might seem hackneyed to have the bad guy vulnerable to Christian invocations - but why not?

The twist is that he's only vulnerable when it's read in a particular language or dialect. Either make him vulnerable to (say) the Lord's Prayer in Greek (or Latin) and have Concerta unable to come up with the idea of reciting it in an archaic tongue.. Or, have her try the same in Latin, or reciting from the AV when in fact he's vulnerable to modern day English.

Whichever you think more fun.

Just thought of this for some reason.
