Thoughts on S6 Dr Who so far, but mainly on 6x4
The Doctor's Wife (episode 4) is AWESOME! I want to draw little hearts around it, I love it so friggin' much. In some ways, I feel rewarded in a sense for shouting at the Master back when he was torturing the TARDIS. ( I am a sad fan, I know.)
The bickering between the TARDIS and the Doctor. Of course they act like an old married couple: it's what they are, after all. They spent 700 years together. A boy and his box. What more could you want? (What would his wife have thought of this, I wonder.)
"I wanted to see the universe, so I stole a Time lord, and you were the only one mad enough." Yes, yes he is, dear. Mad as a hatter, and proud of it. We love him so for that.
Doctor: "She's a woman, and she's my TARDIS."
Amy: "Did you wish really, really hard?"
I really loved this one. The exploration of the relationship between the Doctor and the TARDIS was really well done, and believable. If Gaiman ever decides to write Dr Who-fanfiction for serious, I'd be there with bells on.
I find it hard to imagine this incarnation ever having sex. He's too much a boy. A boy and his box. Boy's own adventure. He seems so affronted by the newlyweds wanting a double instead of bunk-beds. Hard to imagine 11 ever getting married.
