This hurts my inner mythology-geek
Oh my gods. Where is Zeus when you need him to smite crap like this? This is not his son. This can't be his son.
Why are Zeus and Hera fighting? And heavily figthing at that. Demmit, they had their struggles, sure. Mainly because Zeus couldn't keep it in his toga. But not this all-out war where us mortals have to be either worshipping one or the other? They lived in a bloody pantheon, respects were usually paid to the deity whose portfolio you were involved in.
No, Zeus is not younger than Hera.
Where have the other gods buggered off to? One hopes to a better movie.
Please to not be making Alcmene this huge scheming bitch out to kill her husband and divine son, and later on Eurystheus.
Deianara wasn't a nymph dedicated to the service of Artemis (look, not a duality! *shock!* Treasure that, it's the last time any of the gods get mentioned in this entire movie).
Hercules killed Linos. The latter did not get healed by Deianara.
Hercules also killed Megara when he killed his sons.
Hera's Harvest-feasts look more like half-assed Bacchanalia.
Tiresias was not a hermaprodite. Yes, he has been turned into a woman. He got over it.
He had to do Twelve Works to avenge for the deaths of his sons and wife, not six!
Deianara sleeping with an unconcious Hercules is not sexy or romantic or laudable in the least.
On top of mucking with the mythology (Tiresias as the Oracle of Delphi? And I'm Queen of Spain.) it's just bad acting, unlikable characters, and a real shite movie.
Even Sean Astin can't save this piece of drek.
I need a drink. And the tv-series with Kevin Sorbo. Those also mucked with the mythology, but at least that one was meant to be humourous.
