(no subject)

For anyone who's interested *hears crickets chirping, watches tumbleweed roll on by.* I am writing. More or less. The mission is in my head somewhere, I'm lacking in motivation to write it all down. And dragging my feet at rereading the original fic. Raped Elves who live on after the deed? *weeps for poor canon.* And then one of the Agents kicks my hindbrain, so all's well.

And on the telly tonight

Supernatural. Mainly I seem to have run into this show over on Fandom_Wank, and since that's how I got into House, it's worth giving this show a try too.

That is, provived I can stay awake long enough: I'm also going to the gym tonight.

Talking of House, even after having seen five or six episodes, apart from being convinced thanks to IMDb that they skipped one of the episodes, the one about the (ex-?)nun, I'm still not too sure why I keep watching. The snark, most likely. The jury's still out on liking the characters, or their interplay. That said, I like House and Wilson's friendship. You can so tell they know each other well. Ok then, I watch for them. And the snark. And Chase and his accent. Foreman whines too much for me to really like. And Cameron is a bit too bland still. Cuddy's too awesome, and needs more screentime. I like how she puts House down whenever he needs to be. Besides, she has a nice cleavage. ;) [/shallow.]

*sobs.* I can't deny it any longer. I am a fan.

'Robin, Robin...The Hooded Man'

There's a new Robin Hood. Yeah, euhm. Meh on my part. They wanted to make him too sparkly what with his bow-fu and things. All I kept thinking was 'Did he take levels of Ranger? And how many would he have needed to get Manyshot?' (The answer is 6, if he has taken the Archery-route.) I'm a geek, sue me. And what was up with throwing up his sword like that to the battlements? Nice going, doofus. You're out of weapons now.

I also got fed up with his political commentary. Was it just me, or did that seem too out of place for that time-period? Honestly, I was more rooting for the Sherrif, and he's an evil bastard who crushes his own budgerees.

I moderately liked Marian, but I'm a sucker for strong women.

Have a link from a messageboard I'm also at: Robin Hood on RPG.Net.

I was a bit moody that evening, so that did colour my perceptions. I survived the end by trying to find D&D-actions in the scenes. 'Shouldn't he get an AoO against that guy trying to shoot that bow from 5 feet away? Oh wait, he's more than 5 feet away. That's why Marian doesn't get -4 for throwing that hairpin into melee.'
