If I simply could not read the book, or had a real struggle to finish it, it's fair game.
They fall into three categories.
Books I own and would burn. The Dragonbone Chair by Tad Williams. I got 200 pages in and gave up. The Da Vinvi Code by Dan Brown. Finished somehow.
Books I don't own, but would burn if I did. The Illuminatus Trilogy. I managed to read book 1, then gave up. Stranger in a Strange Land.
Books I'd consider buying a copy just to burn, Nothing comes to mind just yet.
So there it is.
I'm sure there are others, but this is the worst of them. So far, nothing's made it into the worst-of-the-worst category; I can't say I'm unhappy about that. (Unless you want to count certain so-called fanfics that are, imho, just excuses for the writers to get off with themselves.)
