She shook her head. She didn't know, and she wasn't likely to find it out just by walking around.

Wordcount: 52,112.

"Now then," she said to Meghan, "what's next? Piss off the gods?"

"I was saving that for our anniversary," Meghan said.

And with this, I crossed 50K. I am now at 50,103!

NaNo 2009 big

Currently at 50,226 words.

Three, haha! Three outlines.

And the past couple of days I have been writing. Not much, a couple of hundred words per day, but writing steadily nonetheless.
bookish_dragon: (NaNo 2008 icon)
In my quest for three outlines before I come over to England (6 days...) I have two. The fact that I had those the day after the fiancé set the goal means he made Saturday the deadline for the third one.

I am so out of ideas right now.

Yes, I did write 449 words today on a plotbunny that bit me after listening to Pseudopod's The Undoing (warning, bit graphic when it comes to surgical procedures), but that does not a novel make.

The short story I finished earlier this week. 559 words. Tell me what you think.

A small owl is sitting in front of me on the table. He doesn't speak much, except to say his name is Hoot. Or so I interpret it. Read more... )

Continued from here.

There's no such thing as a quiet drink )

Also taking part in [livejournal.com profile] novel_in_90 with this. Wish me luck.

Worcound: 774.

4,087 words. Still 2K behind for today's target, but blargh. I'll get there when I get there.
bookish_dragon: Castle has the best smug-face (Default)
2,817 words. It could have been more, but I had to go to school.

Anyway. I might be able to write some during tonight's D&D-session. I've done so last year. >.
bookish_dragon: Castle has the best smug-face (Default)
1,973 words. Not bad for the first day. Better than last year.

The NaNo-site doesn't show your stat-porgress as of this writing. But they will turn that back on soon.

So, I caught up with my wordcount...

Writing the story in Word now. *boos, hisses.* I do not like it, but at least it will give me a wordcount that matches up with what NaNo gives me.

*sighs.*

Only 7K to go this weekend to catch up with my goals...

*smashes something with a big hammer.*

NaNo has now offically eaten my soul.

I am nicely puttering along at 39,601 words, and I decide to upload my novel to NaNo, for an official wordcount.

38,838.

Bwuh, says I, and paste the whole document into Word, and check again.

38,838.

A difference of 800 words between Google-documents, which is what the original is in, and Word. What causes this, I do not know. All I know, is disbelief.

How on Ehlonna's green earth can they have a difference of 800 words?! What is wrong with them?

I hate Word. That is why I am not using it. It seems now that I have to, if I want an accurate count. Or subsequently subtract 800 words from what Google tells me the wordcount is. Ah well, I needed to write more anyway.

See if I am using Google next year for NaNo. *kicks it.*

Is it true? Is it really true? Yes, yes it is.

I finished up typing up my longhand. 38,121 words.

*pant pant pant.*

*points at wordcount.*

Yes! I broke 25K! Woot! Things are looking up. ^.^ Now I need 1,500 word for today's goal.

And I made chocolate-chip chocolate cake. It's currently baking. *fingers crossed it will turn out well.*

NaNo-vent.

So, on the one hand I've gotten over 20K for NaNo, which is good.

On the other hand, I want to beat my characters with The Travelling Shovel Of DeathTM if they do not get a move on soon. And who gave them permission to act like they are in a soap-opera?! This is bad. I get enough of that just watching telly, which is probably where it came from.

Ah well, goal for today is 21,125, and I know I can make it, easily.

Bleary-eyed people sat eating their breakfast. )

I almost made my target for this day! Only a 1,000 more! Woot!

New title: The Ties That Bind. Still subject to change.

This is The Duchess. )

I have written more, but lack of computer-access for the past couple of days means I have to type up over 4K of words. o.O *sighs.*
bookish_dragon: Castle has the best smug-face (Default)
Long, unedited. You are warned. ;) Posted here for both mocking and as back-up. 4,065 words, no objectionable material.

*boos LJ for having been down.* I wanted to use this yesterday to distract me from NaNo. Still so behind it's not funny.

Blargh

Too tired to write. I'm so behind already. I don't know by how much, since I haven't put it on the computer yet, but it is a lot. And am vaguely stuck on where I want to go, which given I'm still in the first chapter, is not that good. o.O
